In January 2018 our firm has been chosen as the winner of the 2018 Corporate Intl Magazine Global Award ‘Aviation Law Firm of the Year in Belgium’. We are very happy that in this first year of the existence of our firm, the quality of our work is being recognized with a prestigious award.

In January 2018 the Belgian periodical “Trends” published an interview with Johan Vandendriessche on the effects of the GDPR.

Erkelens Law participated in the 29th annual conference of the European Air Law Association in Lisbon in November 2017, where Catherine Erkelens has been moderating a panel on airport infrastructure.

We are delighted that in November 2017, we had the opportunity to participate in the Leiden Air Law Workshops organized by the International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University together with our colleagues from Clyde & Co and Gorrissen Federspiel. Catherine thaught a course on airport law.

In June 2017, our firm participated in the yearly conference organized in Rome by LUISS University and Studio Pierallini, on the impact of Brexit on Aviation. Catherine presented in the session on “ The Experts, Regulators and Airlines Views: which models might apply post Brexit?”
